As a freelance copywriter, I have worked for a variety of lifestyle, beauty and food & beverage brands including Fenty Skin, Moss, Dr. Smood and the home goods e-commerce platform Afternoon Light. My previous assignments have included writing in multiple formats such as product descriptions, brand bios and social media materials and crafting editorial content like blog posts and artist interviews, as well as creating brand tone and language strategies to suit the intentions and target audiences of each company. I provide tutoring and mentorship services for a variety of writing and language arts subjects including English, creative writing, college essay writing and reading comprehension for young students. Through my work as a writing mentor, tutor and instructor, I have acquired over seven years experience reading and editing student work and I have taught students ranging from elementary to collegiate levels of education. My goals as a tutor are to thoughtfully evaluate and comprehend the styles of individual writers and respond with feedback that seeks to identify, highlight and emphasize their particular strengths.

My work as a writer and scholar has lead me to participate in a number of speaking engagements and panels. Some of my previous engagements have been organized by Smithsonian Museum Asian Pacific Islander Center, The USC Pacific Asia Museum, Chinese American Museum, Japanese American National Museum, Abolition Is, Asian American Arts Alliance and the Museum of Contemporary African Diasporic Arts.
